On 1 March 2010, the Approved Screening Agency (ASA) functions at Sport and Recreation were moved to another part of Communities NSW, the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP). To help with the transition, Sport and Recreation is automatically forwarding to the Commission any faxes and phone calls received after 26 February 2010 for six months.
Some things, such as employer identification numbers, remain the same. However, there are now new online forms for the Working with Children Check and also clearer online employer guidelines. For more efficient processing, the new forms can be completed online by the employer and job applicant and then printed for signing. Handwritten forms will also be acceptable.
