Sport for people with disability
There are various opportunities for people with a disability to access sport and recreation activities.
Depending on the skill level of individuals, people with a disability can access mainstream sport competitions, modified activities, or disability specific programs. Services available may vary between sports and geographic locations.
To find out about opportunities in your local area, we recommend that you contact the State Organisation that oversees the sport or recreational activity that interests you.
- Sports CONNECT is a national framework that develops pathways for people with disability to get involved in sport. For further information and sports involved visit the Australian Sports Commission website.
