This program aims to provide opportunities to assist in the development of future elite athletes. As well as assisting athletes to further develop their talent and follow their sporting career dreams, the program aims to provide an opportunity to develop friendships and mentors with coaches and other athletes.
The Pre-elite development program for athletes with a disability is open to athletes:
Successful candidates will have access to designated athlete development training programs and support services. Training programs are either weekend residential or day-based programs, as determined by the sport.
Applications for 2008 have now closed. Applications for 2009 will be available mid December.
Applications will also be forwarded to State Sporting Organisations and State Disability Sporting Organisations.
