Sports drug education

Drugs in sport is an important issue for athletes, coaches and administrators. Australia is one of the leading nations in the fight against the use of performance enhancing drugs in sport.

The NSW Government condemns the use of performance enhancing drugs in sport. It is contrary to the recognised ethics of sport. It is dangerous to the health of competitors. The NSW Government recognises and supports the work of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) in promoting, coordinating and monitoring the fight against doping in sport in all its forms.

ASADA can drug test NSW athletes. NSW Drugs in Sport Policy (anti doping policy)
