The NSW Government condemns the use of performance enhancing drugs in sport. It is contrary to the recognised ethics of sport. It is dangerous to the health of competitors. The NSW Government recognises and supports the work of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) in promoting, coordinating and monitoring the fight against doping in sport in all its forms.

The Sports Drug Education Unit (SDEU) based at the Sydney Olympic Park provides an educational program aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of drugs in sport issues.
