NSW Sport and Recreation Minister Kevin Greene has announced $4 million worth of local grants that will go to 319 sporting clubs and local councils across the State.
“By funding local sport and recreation infrastructure, the Rees Government is making it easier for people to get out and enjoy healthy, active lifestyles,” Mr Greene said. “This is about working with local clubs and councils to help them upgrade their existing facilities or build new ones.

“These grants build a partnership between the State Government and the community $4 million for NSW sporting facilities and local council, with the NSW Government providing up to 50% of the cost of the projects. Through this funding we’ve actually invested more than $22.8 million to help improve more than 1,991 local grounds in NSW since 2003.”
