About SwimsafeLearning to swim is something to be enjoyed for the rest of your life whether you learn early or late in life.
Swimsafe classes are generally held every weekday for eight or nine days. You can see great results from the extra practice of a daily program.
Swimsafe classes cater for children from 18 months and provide instruction in water familiarisation through to stroke correction in a supportive and caring environment.
Last summer, more than 15,000 people in NSW participated in a Swimsafe program at more than 200 pools around New South Wales. In fact, over the last 30 years more than one and a half million people have learnt to swim with Swimsafe. It’s one of the largest programs of its kind in the world!
Programs run between October and February each year and are taught by experienced, AUSTSWIM-qualified instructors. Everyone employed by Swimsafe is also screened for their suitability to work in child-related employment.
Swimsafe classes cater for children and adults of all abilities where suitably-qualified instructors are available.
Swimsafe is conducted at pools across NSW. The 2009/2010 Swimsafe program is currently being finalised. Check the pool listing for your regional area under infant and preschool, or school age or phone 13 13 02.
Swimsafe classes run from October to March each year. Lessons are held after school and during school holidays.
In all programs, lessons cater for complete beginners through to confident swimmers who need to improve their technique. People with special needs can also participate in Swimsafe where suitably-qualified instructors are available. Call 13 13 02 for more information or to make a booking.
