NSW Sport and Recreation employs Camp Counsellors and Assistant Camp Counsellors during the school holidays to deliver children and family holiday programs at our eleven sport and recreation centres around NSW.

To gain casual employment on these programs, you must complete the NSW Sport and Recreation introductory training.

Who can apply

To participate in the holiday program staff training program candidates must have:

  • completed four years of secondary education
  • turned 18 years of age and left high-school

It is a requirement that all prospective casual staff attend the Holiday camp staff introductory training program before applying for employment on holiday programs or applying to attend other holiday program staff training programs.

Training programs are popular. We advise to book early to avoid disappointment.
