Our Multicultural Plan is the roadmap for the next four years to supporting our staff and the broader sport and recreation sector to develop culturally appropriate and inclusive policies, programs and services that speak to the needs and interests of people from multicultural communities.
We will achieve this by focusing on four pillars in alignment with the Multicultural NSW Framework:
- Leadership
- Engagement
- Planning
- Service Delivery
The Office of Sport intends to bring our plan to life by fostering ongoing partnerships and culturally appropriate consultation and collaboration between our office, the sport and active recreation sector and multicultural communities.
As part of the Plan, we are committed to leading the sport and active recreation sector in engaging with multicultural people and organisations in a positive way to ensure that activities are informed and co-designed by the community.
The launch and actioning of the plan will support all members of our diverse NSW community having every opportunity to access and participate in sport and active recreation in an inclusive, fair and safe way.
